Setting image size defaults for Harry

To switch on/off auto image resizing in Firefox:

In the menu bar locate the "Tools" pull down menu and select "Options".

A window similar to this one should appear.

Select the "Advanced" icon (a cog).

Tick "on" "Resize large images to fit in the browser window" to allow resizing (images will be shrunk to fit into the browser window).

If you want the changes to effect the current window you will need to press "Ctrl-F5" or simply close the window and re-open it.

Once you have switched on auto-resizing you can take it to its original size by simply clicking on it. Click on it again to shrink it again.

In the menu bar locate the "Tools" pull down menu and select "Internet Options".

Select the "Advanced" tab and scroll down until you get to "Multimedia".

Tick "on" "Enable Automatic Image Resizing" for resizing (images will be shrunk to fit into the browser window).

If you want the changes to effect the current window you will need to press "Ctrl-F5" or simply close the window and re-open it.

Once you have switched on auto-resizing you can take it to its original size by moving the mouse over the image and waiting for this symbol to appear and then clicking on it. Repeat the process (move the mouse and wait for the symbol and then click on it) to shrink it again.

Note that the image above is from IE version 5.something. Version 6 is very similar but has different surrounding options.
